This is our completed magazine advertisement for our album.
When making this poster there were a few things that we decided to change or add. Firstly, we discussed whether we wanted to use the geometric pattern by the artist's face as we wanted to maintain minimalistic look however still create an abstract and alternative feel to match our genre. We decided to stick with this idea, however use subtler colours than plain black and introduce a gradient so it blends with the background. We really like this effect as the pattern also works around the artists face, keeping the attention on her. The use of this pattern also helps to link the advert with her album (and also the font within her name) , which is an important aspect when promoting an album/artist. The colour theme is also quite minimalistic, but we have kept it mainly quite dark as this again links with our album and relates to our genre as it suggests a more alternative style.
